FITS OM: Assessment
Becta have developed a spreadsheet tool to help schools assess their current ICT operations management. The tool is based on FITS OM (Framework for ICT Technical Support Operations Management) and asks a number of yes/no questions on key activities that should be carried out for each of the functions.
After all of the questions are answered the spreadsheet will produce a graph that shows the percentage of the implementation of each function in your school. The tool can be used to plan to improve current practice by identifying gaps in the schools ICT operations management.
